    Women's Health Imaging Services

The Sutter Lakeside Medical Imaging Department offers all necessary womens health imaging services...right here in Lake County! The department is staffed with a fellowship trained and qualified radiologist to read image results right here on campus.

The Women's Health Imaging Services Include:

    • Biopsy: a medical procedure in which cells and tissues are removed for testing to detect disease
    • Bone-density scans: a painless and quick test that measures bone-density mass to detect any loss that could indicate osteoporosis (brittle,
      thinning bones)
    • Digital Mammography: low-dose X-rays of the breast in which radiologists use advanced computer tools to diagnose cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages
    • MRI - whole body: magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans every part of the body to reveal detailed images of internal structures
    • MRI - breast specific: dedicated breast MRI technology utilizes the proven effectiveness of MRI and applies it to the early detection and management of many breast diseases
    • Ultrasound: this painless diagnostic technique uses high-frequency sound waves to view muscles, tendons and other internal organs as they function and to detect signs of disease
